The Chinese New Year races at Darling Harbour is one of the biggest events on the Dragon Boating calendar. In the 2012 edition, ACCA put up some excellent results, reflecting the crew's hard work over the past few months. In the Mixed category, ACCA missed out on the major final by just one place, however, took out the Mixed Minor Final in a brilliantly executed race. In the Opens category, ACCA put in a remarkable result, making the blue ribbon Opens Final for the first time in years.

The third race of the dragon boat season and the last for 2011 was valuable experience for all ACCAdians on their journey to the National Championships in Melbourne. In particular, our rookie paddlers got their first ever taste of 500m racing. One of these rookies, Jessica Tsai, has written about her experience.
