Come
And Try

Why
Dragon Boating

Have you heard about dragon boating but don’t really know what it is? Is it like Quidditch? Are there actual dragons involved? Solid questions.

Dragon Boating is fun, fast, addictive and great for overall fitness. It started in China thousands of years ago and is now one of the fastest growing water sports in the world, including Australia.

Dragon boating is the ultimate team paddle sport with 22 people racing in a boat, and welcomes all genders, ages and backgrounds. What it lacks in actual dragons, it makes it up with a strong sense of community, teamwork and camaraderie.

When
Can I Try

If you would like to try one of our sessions, we offer a 1 MONTH FREE ‘DRAGON PASS’ (yes, Christmas came early) so you can jump in the boat and see if you like it – and us! Just reach out so we can line up a time and help you sign up. We’re always happy to have new friends on board!

Team
Training

ACCA trains 3 times a week – and in even better news, it’s not at the crack of dawn like rowers!

Tuesdays: 6:30-8.30pm
From 6 November, 2025 – Thursdays: 6:30-8.30pm
Saturdays: 8:30am-10.30am*

*We usually go for a big brekky after training. 🤤

Sounds awesome, what do I bring?

  • Gym gear and CLOSED TOE footwear (this is a crocs-judgment-free zone) that can get wet - yep, it’s a water sport!
  • Water bottle
  • Cap for sun protection (and aesthetic reasons)
  • We can also provide a PFD for those who aren’t great swimmers

Where are you
located

We meet at Rozelle Bay Public Pontoon and paddle in beautiful Blackwattle Bay. Parking is limited, so we recommend taking the L1 light rail or parking along The Crescent.
