Why
Dragon Boating

Have you heard about dragon boating but don’t really know what it is? Is it like Quiddich? Are there actual dragons involved? Solid questions.

Dragon Boating is fun, fast, addictive and great for overall fitness. It started in China thousands of years ago and is now one of the fastest growing water sports in the world, including Australia.

Dragon boating is the ultimate team sport with 22 people racing in a boat, and welcomes all genders, ages and backgrounds. What it lacks in actual dragons, it makes it up with a strong sense of community, teamwork and camaraderie.

Team
Training

ACCA trains 3 times a week – and in even better news, it’s not at the crack of dawn like rowers!

Tuesdays: 6:30-8.30pm*
Thursdays: 6:30-8.30pm*
Saturdays: 8.30am-10.15am

*We usually go to laksa for dinner after training. *mic drop*

Sounds awesome, what do I bring?

  • Gym gear and CLOSED footwear that can get wet
    (yep, it’s a water sport!)
  • Water bottle
  • Cap for sun protection (and aesthetic reasons)
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel
  • We can also provide a PFD for those who aren’t great swimmers

Where are you
located

Centrally located at 1 Bank Street, Pyrmont NSW, we train directly under the Anzac Bridge in Blackwattle Bay (right next to the Sydney Fish Markets). You’ll see a big car park where we have free parking available in the ACCA car park section – drive in and down the end in the right hand corner.
